Wildlife Weekend: Second weekend in October
The Bristol Bird Club’s monthly walk at Steele Creek Park is set for Thursday, April 9th. Meet Harry at the Mill Creek “Trailhead” Parking Lot at 8:30 am. April is one of the best times to find Great Crested Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Purple Martin, Baltimore Oriole, Tree Swallow, Yellow-breasted Chat, and more. Hope you can join us. New birders always welcome!
The next Hike with Commander will be on Wednesday, 8 April. Meet at Rooster Front parking lot on Vance Drive at 2:00 pm for an exhilarating mildly difficult 2.5 mile hike along the LakeRidge Trail. We’ll be looking for spring wild flowers. Total time should be about 1.5 hours. And…it’s NOT an April Fools joke, either…although Harvey enjoys them. Hope to see you there.
