The Bristol Bird Club will conduct their monthly walk at Steele Creek Park on Thursday, May 14th. Meet Harry at the Mill Creek Parking lot on Broad Street at 8:30 am. Recent sightings at the Park include Eastern Wood-Pewee, Baltimore and Orchard Oriole, Wood Thrush, Red-eyed Vireo, Eastern Warbling Vireo, Yellow-throated Vireo, Scarlet Tanager, Gray Catbird, Eastern Kingbird, Spotted Sandpiper, and more. Note that there are no bird walks at the Park the months of June, July, and August.
All young nature explorers, there is still time to register for week-long Nature Camps at Steele Creek Park this summer. Camps are open for ages 7-12 and cover various science topics. From meteorology and ecology to insects, paleontology, and more, each session is packed with hands-on discovery and outdoor adventure! https://www.friendsofsteelecreek.org/nature-camps-at-steele-creek-park-for-summer-2026/
